We had the greatest cross country season at Sitka High School. The kids were awesome. They worked really hard and we had a great time. Everyday was great to be with this groups and we created some unforgetable memories. This group was one of a kind and it was a season where you just had to be there. To see the video click here

What a great day of riding. I hiked up with Thomas to meet some friends at Starrigavan. We played in the snow and then they went down and as Thomas and I summitted and rode down from the top… that was a first for me.

After dropping a friend off at the airport, Thomas and I went to the end of the road to go up Starrigavin. The day was beautiful and I wished everyone could have been there. The hike was nice, we got lost, but were able to get a great vantage point view from our fortunate detour. To see our day click: watch video

Bear Mountain Camping/ Snowboarding

Emily, Thomas, Chloe’, Pesso and I climbed Bear Mountain on a beautiful day. The view from Bear is one of the best and the visibility was awesome. The hike was difficult, but the snowboarding was pretty fun. To watch the video click here, the music is from Nickle Creek.

Chai Chi Winter Picnic

On a sunny Sunday morning my friends Brian, Tyler, Patrick, Kyle, Thomas, Leah, and Ilene decided to have a picnic on an island about 5 miles from Sitka harbor. It was great to have a day just to relax on the beach and have a bon fire. We cut some wood, climbed on rocks, enjoyed the fire, fire crackers, and hot dogs…. it was a great day to relax

We tried to summit but the snow was too slushy so we just enjoyed the mountain and did a couple runs snowboarding. It was a beautiful day. Click here to enjoy the video

Bear Mountain Snowboarding

What a day it was! The clouds were low but the snow was amazing. The clouds were at 3500 feet and so when we hiked to 3800 feet we couldn’t see much. We watche 2 “boulders” slide down the hill and start walking toward us…. then we realized those boulders were bears. I guess it makes since bears on Bear Mountain… but in February? Anyway, we ran away, like you are not supose to do, and strapped on our snowboards and skidattled away. This is a video of our next run from 3500ft to 2600ft. It was awesome.
